February 11, 2025

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (February 10, 2025) – Queensbridge Collective, the widely anticipated transformative mixed-use development set to bridge Charlotte's Uptown and South End neighborhoods, has officially topped out construction of its residential tower at 42 stories. Developers Riverside Investment & Development and Woodfield Development celebrated the significant milestone in tandem with general contractor Clark Construction Group during a topping out ceremony on February 6 to mark the completion of the building’s structural framework, signaling a pivotal step forward in the development’s progress.
During construction of the residential tower, 41,000 cubic yards of concrete and 4,500 tons of steel were used, ensuring the building’s durability and strength. The project has also required 564,000 worker hours, with a total of 1,500 dedicated workers from Clark Construction and its contractors contributing to its success. In honor of this achievement, Clark Construction hosted a celebratory luncheon for the company’s construction workers, engineers, and contractors who played an instrumental role in the tower’s rise, acknowledging their hard work and commitment to the ongoing progress of the project.
“This milestone would not be possible without the strong partnership between Riverside Investment and Development, Woodfield Development, Goettsch Partners, Clark, and the many talented design and trade partners on this project,” said Chris Phares, senior vice president with Clark Construction.
Designed by globally renowned architecture firm Goettsch Partners, the Queensbridge Collective development includes two high-rise buildings: a 42-story residential tower offering 409 luxury rental units, and a 35-story office tower. The cumulative project will include nearly 30,000 square feet of retail and more than 90,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor amenity space.
“Queensbridge Collective’s first topping out marks a major milestone in the forthcoming delivery of a new standard of residential living and retail offerings at the nexus of Charlotte’s South End and Uptown neighborhoods,” said Anthony Scacco, President, Riverside Investment & Development. “We applaud our construction teams for their diligent work and remain excited for how the project will redefine the resident and tenant experience through a carefully curated mix of uses.”
The amenity program includes more than two acres of indoor and outdoor fitness, sports, recreation, collaboration and entertainment space. The residential tower will also offer panoramic views of the city.
“Queensbridge Collective symbolizes the ongoing transformation of Uptown meeting South End, bringing a custom, irreplaceable residential product to Charlotte’s most dynamic location,” said Chad Hagler, development partner at Woodfield Development. “The construction team continues to do tremendous work, and we remain confident the luxury rental residences will offer an incomparable living experience.”
Food and beverage retail onsite include a rooftop restaurant space that will open with the first portion of the project’s delivery to provide a unique indoor/outdoor experience. Charlotte-based Night Swim Coffee is scheduled to open later this year on the ground floor and Denver-based modern American steakhouse Guard and Grace, will debut its 10,224-square-foot venue on the 10th floor in mid-2026. The development team continues to bring a mix of national and local restauranteurs to the property.
Completion of the entire development, which broke ground in May 2023, is anticipated for 2027.
